Emergency Stroke Care with Dr. Remmel

In this lecture, Dr. Kerri Remmel discusses acute stroke care. She covers the basics of stroke vs. TIA, rapid assessment in the emergency department, scoring with NIH stroke scale, IV-tPA considerations, and endovascular treatments.

Dr. Kerri Remmel is a distinguished neurologist who has helped create Kentucky's first joint-commission Comprehensive Stroke Center. University of Louisville's Stroke Team has received multiple awards for excellence in stroke care on both the state and national level. She also helped develop the telemedicine initiative.
